Sounds like a lot of extra effort than necessary. I agree music on the ride makes it a lot better. I mean hell, all you generally hear on a motorcycle anyways is wind and the engine. I would suggest finding a handlebar mount for your iPhone, or improvise a mount with a cutout over the front so that you can use the music software when you need too. Just set your display time out to ‘never’ time out and keep your music software open. It’s obviously not in your best interest to do this out of safety concerns, but if that’s what you want to do, then go for it.

Looks like my iPhone 4 fits in the case too, I’ve asked if there is another model in the works to fit an iPhone 4 and they “plan on offering a great solution as soon as [they] possibly can.”
