Question by dxarmbar06: What sport motorcycle do you recommend?
I’m a 20 y/o female firefighter looking for possibly a used sport motorcycle to get me from Hollywood to San Fernando for work, and that I can equip with a saddle bag or something for carrying extra stuff. I want a bike that makes a statement about my personality as well as runs reliably and isn’t too pricey. Something for college. Doesn’t necessarily have to be a sport bike but that’s what all the kids are riding, as long as it’s not some bulky cruiser. What do you recommend?

This Cortech Sport Tail bag has been great for my H-D 883 Sportster. Just the right amount of storage space for a small gym bag, bottled water, and purse. The bag stays secure on the (mini-size) back seat with the adjustable tiedowns. My helmet fits well, by itself, with the sides expanded. I have to hike my leg a bit higher when mounting the bike. And the flap on the bottom of the bag isn’t all that attractive. Though it’s probably functional for the available attachments. Overall, it’s an exceptional piece for storage. Thanks for the quick delivery!

I have owned this bag for over a year and love it. It’s super practical: expanding sides when you need more room, has a nice carry handle and shoulder strap for off the bike, as well as the capability to turn it into a back pack. I use it all the time! It’s even easier to use now that I can attach it to a sissy bar.

I really expected to have some nattering little things to say about this bag (see my other reviews… it’s always something) but it’s a great bag.

It’s bigger than I thought it would be, which is good. It has hooks, which I use. It has velcro, which I’m sure I’ll think of some use for. But it’s touch, the zips are high quality, there are ample compartments, and on and on.

It’s my tail bag on a BMW F800GS, and it’s just a great fit. Sweet!

I have never written a review for anything, but felt compelled to write one on this product. I’ve got an ’03 Ninja 250. It’s not the fastest thing on two wheels but is enough for my casual rides. The tail bag fits great. I agree with some reviews I have read that the amount of stuff you can jam into this bag are deceiving. With the expansion zippers unzipped, I can fit a laptop, change of work clothes and shoes, and still have room for more. Zipped up, the bag looks unobtrusive. I actually prefer the look of the bike with the bag on than off. You get a myriad of ways to fasten the bag to the bike. To keep the bag “unstealable” (sort of), I fished a flat strap through the bottom of the bag and around and under my lockable seat. Then used a bunji in the latches provided on the Ninja. It doesn’t move an inch and yes, someone with a knife could cut the strap, but you’d really need to have a purpose on stealing the bag at that point.

If you are on the fence and a chronic review-reader as I am, just get the thing. You won’t be disappointed.

I purchased this item about 2 months ago. I own Kawasaki ninja 650r and always I have problem where to put my things. I am happy now. I use tail bag for my Laptop, mobile phone, bottle of water, etc. I need only few seconds to install the bag on the tail. So if you think buy or not trust me – it is really very comfortable, useful bag for motorbike.

Take a look at the Kawasaki Concours. They’ve been around long enough that you should be able to find a used one at a reasonable price. It’s a great compromise between touring (bags) and sport bike. Check out e-bay, there are quite a few available there for reasonable prices. When I checked, there was a 2004 with a buy it now price of $ 4000.
