I bought this trunk to go on an MC-54-250b Rocketa Scooter.

As some of you may know, the truck that comes with this scooter is made of flimsy Chinese plastic. Mine practically shattered a few day’s after I bought the Bike. So I bought this EMGO as a nice replacement.

    Positives:
There is a lot of room for this trunk. It fits my ridding jacket just fine. I wear a padded ridding jacket XL for protection when I ride, falls can be horrible if your a rider.

The Trunk is made of high endurance plastic. So its not likely to shatter. The walls on this trunk are thick.

The base for this trunk is made of a very very dense plastic that feels as hard as steel.

    Negatives:
Start with the base. I am happy that the base is extremely tough. But its not steel. So I can’t tighten it down as much as I would want. Steel, or some aluminum alloy would bend slightly if I tightened too much, but it would hold and still be useful. Although I am impressed by how dense this plastic is, I think that if you tighten this too much, it will crack and become useless. Its just the way plastic is. Be cautious on how much you tighten this down.

Its a Universal base and not made specifically for any individual bike. But the holes on the base are all uniform. I would have preferred a criss/cross patter to have made it more adaptable based on your luggage rack. I had to remove the nice metal luggage rack base that came with the 250 b’s original rack because there was just no way to attach it that way. Instead I had to attach to the exposed Aluminum alloy rear fender/luggage rack of the scooter. Even then the match was a bit awkward. I was not able to evenly displace the brackets for the base evenly. Both Brackets had to go on right next to each other near the center front of the base in order to fit. This is why a Criss/Cross patter would have been better.

4 out of 5 stars for the plastic base, but overall good grade for the product.

I just ordered my second of these trunk, and they are really good. I use it to carry my laptop bag back-and-forth to work with plenty of room (17″ Dell laptops are not that small). It is moisture tight, although I admit to not riding in heavy rain, but the way the lid and bottom of the trunk fit together it is designed to keep out moisture.
I recently lost my first trunk because I did not make sure the trunk was locked down on the base plate before riding off (I feel so stupid). But that was operator trouble, not design trouble.

Mounted easily to the chrome rack on my chineese clone.
After 1+ yrs and many trips to the store it still is as new.

The only issue is that since it is so sturdy I wish they would offer a similar trunk with about 50% more room!
