First get shop manual for your model bike. check index for removing saddle bags and follow instructions. Also look at section on oil changes and service procedures- follow them for long bike life.
If you don’t want to do that- check inside saddlebags for mounting bolt heads or nuts. remove them and saddle bags should come off. My Wing bags are held on with 4 bolts per bag, My wixoms on BMW were 2 bolts and a bottom clip. Bags on brothers Rebel have 3 bolts. Beware of wires for bag lights if you have them.
This is simple basics- you just posting to sort of say ‘Howdy’ I have a motorcycle?.

The VLX does not come with standard saddlebags. How you take the saddlebags off depends on what they are and how they are mounted. Are they soft bags (floppy real or fake leather) or are they hard bags (hard plastic, fiberglass, or metal)?

Leather saddlebags are usually draped over the rear fender with the seat on top of them.
You need to remove the seat in order to remove the saddle bags.
The seat mounting bolts are pointing back, on the sides of the seat, where the front and rear seats join.
Remove the bolts and hit the seat towards the rear of the bike (the seat has to be pulled back to unhook it).
